I know what your thinking...how did I get here? Well, welcome to my blog! That just sounds so cheesy. Anyways, you can join me on my very boring journey through life...or you can leave. But, I'd prefer you give me, and my horrible humor, a chance. Enjoy!

Hey random strangers of the Internet! I realized I wanted to make yet another blog. (Which I probably won't post on so much, but whatever.) Enjoy!

Mug Cakes

So, today a friend a school did a presentation on how to make mug cakes, so I thought I'd be cool to write a post! Credit to kirbiecravings.com and bbcgoodfood.com for the recipes/insperation, so go check them out!

You will need:
  • the largest mug you can find (note that if you use a small mug, the batter might overflow.)
  • 4 table spoons self raising flour and sugar
  • 2 table spoons cocoa powder
  • 1 egg
  • 3 table spoon milk
  • 3 table spoon vegetable/sunflower oil
  • A few drops of vanilla (you can substitute this with any other essence)
  • 2 table spoons chocolate chips or any food of your choice(optional)
  • microwave
  • bowl (optional)
  • microwave
These are just basic ingredients, you may need more if  you want to make different types of mug cake.
  1. Add the flour, sugar, and cocoa to a bowl, while I would recommend using a bowl the mug works fine too, and mix it together.
  2. Add the egg to the mixture, and mix it together.
  3. Add the rest of your ingredients to your bowl, and mix until smooth.
  4. Pour the mixture into the mug if you used a bowl.
Put the mug in the microwave, it depends how quickly your microwave cooks things. Try 2 minutes at first, and if it isn't cooked, or isn't firm, cook for 2-3 more minutes.

For S'mores Mug Cakes:
Add powdered graham crackers and chocolate to the mixture. Press toasted marshmallows on the top of the mug cake when you finish baking it.

For Peppermint Mug Cakes:
Just add crushed candy canes and peppermint to the mixture. Add whipped cream and a candy cane at the end!

For Cinnamon Bun Mug Cakes:
Add cinnamon to the mixture, and add glaze at the end. I'm too lazy too add a glaze recipe, but if you type in cinnamon bun recipe, it will show you how to make it.

Note: I haven't actually made mug cakes. But I felt like writing a mug cake recipe, so shhhhhhh.
