Mug Cakes
So, today a friend a school did a presentation on how to make mug cakes, so I thought I'd be cool to write a post! Credit to kirbiecravings.com and bbcgoodfood.com for the recipes/insperation, so go check them out!
You will need:
- the largest mug you can find (note that if you use a small mug, the batter might overflow.)
- 4 table spoons self raising flour and sugar
- 2 table spoons cocoa powder
- 1 egg
- 3 table spoon milk
- 3 table spoon vegetable/sunflower oil
- A few drops of vanilla (you can substitute this with any other essence)
- 2 table spoons chocolate chips or any food of your choice(optional)
- microwave
- bowl (optional)
- microwave
- Add the flour, sugar, and cocoa to a bowl, while I would recommend using a bowl the mug works fine too, and mix it together.
- Add the egg to the mixture, and mix it together.
- Add the rest of your ingredients to your bowl, and mix until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into the mug if you used a bowl.
For S'mores Mug Cakes:
Add powdered graham crackers and chocolate to the mixture. Press toasted marshmallows on the top of the mug cake when you finish baking it.
For Peppermint Mug Cakes:
Just add crushed candy canes and peppermint to the mixture. Add whipped cream and a candy cane at the end!
For Cinnamon Bun Mug Cakes:
Add cinnamon to the mixture, and add glaze at the end. I'm too lazy too add a glaze recipe, but if you type in cinnamon bun recipe, it will show you how to make it.
Note: I haven't actually made mug cakes. But I felt like writing a mug cake recipe, so shhhhhhh.
